Taxes and Levies
Applicability of Taxes
All winning bets placed with JSB Sports Betting may be subject to statutory taxes and government levies as imposed under the relevant laws and regulations of Namibia.
- These levies are mandatory and are applied to the gross winnings where applicable by law.
- The Customer acknowledges that tax legislation is subject to change and JSB will apply the rates active at the time of the transaction.
Deduction and Payment
Where required by law, JSB Sports Betting acts as the withholding agent and shall:
- Deduct the applicable taxes and levies directly from the Customer's winnings.
- Retain such amounts for the purpose of statutory compliance.
- Remit these payments to the relevant tax authorities (such as NamRA) on behalf of the Customer.
Disclosure and Records
Transparency is a priority for JSB. Any applicable taxes or levies will:
- Be clearly indicated on the digital betting slip or the physical transaction record.
- Be reflected in the account history for online users, showing the breakdown between gross winnings and the net amount credited.
Enforcement
Legal Compliance: All tax deductions will be applied strictly in accordance with applicable legislation. These deductions are binding on the Customer and are not subject to dispute or negotiation with JSB Sports Betting.
Final Principle: JSB fulfills all statutory obligations regarding tax withholding; it is the Customer's responsibility to ensure their overall tax affairs are in order with the relevant authorities.
